By 2030, Zypp Electric wants to install one million trees
Zypp Electric, the premier tech-enabled EV-as-a-service platform in India, is excited to announce the World Environment Day launch of its Green’o’Meter campaign, which aims to plant one million trees by 2030. By utilizing an ecosystem of electric vehicles and EV-based technology for sustainable and emission-free last-mile logistics, this project is in line with Zypp Electric’s goal of reaching zero emissions and making India carbon-free. This large-scale initiative demonstrates Zypp Electric’s dedication to sustainability and its story of “Green Hai to Best Hai.”
Through a ticker on the Zypp Electric website, the Green’o’Meter initiative will prominently promote Zypp Electric and its partners’ efforts to reduce emissions. The carbon savings will be displayed on this ticker together with the quantity of trees planted. Zypp Electric will plant a tree in the name of the customer who got the delivery for every one millionth order delivered, in an effort to further involve clients and staff in this environmental objective. As a token of appreciation, Zypp Electric staff will also have trees planted in their honor.
Zypp Electric’s co-founder and CEO, Akash Gupta, expressed his excitement for the project by saying, “At Zypp Electric, we believe that sustainability is not just a goal but a responsibility.” We currently handle 50 lakh deliveries per month, growing steadily each month. By providing last-mile delivery, we help significantly reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, we plan to plant trees for every 1 lakh deliveries, a milestone that will help us achieve our ambitious goal of planting 1 million trees to support vital green projects throughout India and meet our mission of zero emissions. We use the Green’o’Meter tracker to monitor our environmental impact and to include our customers, staff, and business partners in this important work. In order to significantly contribute to the fight against climate change and the preservation of our environment for future generations, we want to plant one million trees by 2030. Grow-Trees CEO Mr. Vipul Gajera stated, “We at Grow-Trees are excited to collaborate with Zypp Electric on their Green-o-Meter project. Their dedication to sustainability ideally complements our goals, and when we work together, we’re changing the world. The painstakingly crafted Trees for Tigers® initiative is not only about planting. In addition to revitalizing tiger habitat and generating jobs for the local population, it will restore the crucial Sundarbans mangroves, which are essential for carbon capture. We applaud Zypp Electric for taking the lead in this vital effort to restore our forest cover. Building a more sustainable future requires partnerships like these.”
Zypp Electric has established a partnership with Grow-Trees, a well-known social company, to guarantee the Green’o’Meter campaign is carried out successfully. Zypp Electric is going to support their Trees for Tiger project, which aims to restore the Sundarbans and use local mangroves to build a healthy environment that will support our tigers. The benefactor will receive images from the site, the project location’s coordinates, and trees planted in their honor. This continuous endeavor demonstrates Zypp Electric’s commitment to making a long-lasting, beneficial environmental impact.
