Retired wing commander and wife adopt a baby giraffe

Retired wing commander GB Athri has given Rs 1 lakh to embrace a giraffe, named Yadhunandan, in’s Bengaluru Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBBP).

Athri said that he was considering receiving a creature for long and focused in on the giraffe as the species is powerless and should be dealt with.

Both Athri and his significant other are yet to see their “child”, at the zoo where specialists urge individuals to receive creatures.

“Throughout the previous two years I have been considering embracing a creature as I grew up with creatures in my local town of Malenadu. There were three decisions for me-lion, tiger, and giraffe, so I counseled my relatives and keeping in mind that the majority of them needed a lion or a tiger, my grandson proposed that I embrace a giraffe,” said Athri.

Giraffes are one of the most defenseless species today. Around five-six years prior, there were 1,50,000 giraffes on the planet, and today they have decreased to 97,000. They have been announced as defenseless species and Yadhunandan (giraffe) is not really a year and a half old, he lost his mom thus he was migrated to BBBP, so I thought this is a chance to offer back to nature,” included Athri.

He further said that the giraffe is a piece of the family and they would deal with him in the years to come.

“As a family, we invited the thought and it’s an upbeat second for us, there is one more expansion in the family. We are yet to meet him when the zoo specialists give us consent, we’ll proceed to see. Individuals should approach and embrace creatures as it’s an honorable demonstration. Embracing a wild creature is altogether different and significant too, they are a piece of this planet and they ought to be cared for,” said Suma Athri, his better half.
